Jell-o Recipe Booklet
Advertising booklet for the American jelly Jell-O. Recipe
booklet which is full of mouth watering colour illustrations
of puddings, with articles written by the actress Ethel
Barrymore, authoress Marion Harland, Rose O' Neil the
maker of the Kewpie doll and opera singer Madame
Schumannheink. Booklet is not dated but looking at the
hairstyles of the contributors I would date it to around the
early 1920's. In good condition with crease to the back
paper cover and small rip on page 6. Wonderful nostalgic
look at a bygone age and you can even make some of the
scrumptious deserts.....





Larkin Club Booklet
This is a members booklet for ladies who ran the Larkins
Clubs in America which was a catalogue of home items
which were paid for on a monthly basis with the club
Member collecting the monies. This booklet advises and
gives little tips and secrets on running a successful club.
Fully illustrated with drawings it probably dates back to
the 1920's. In good condition without rips or tears but
front cover is a little grubby.
Vintage 1920s Italian Press Stud Card
This a wonderful original, Italian card of large silver press
studs. It is believed to date to the 1920s. It is in excellent
condition with only minor wear to the edges of the card.
The card is in sections with perforated lines which would
allow sections to be removed leaving the picture of the
lady in the centre.
It measures 6.7 x 4.4 inches.
Dairy Maid, Butter Pat Maker.
This gorgeous vintage butter pat maker is in amazing
condition, in its original box. It is made of stainless chrome
and has a spring mechanism which allows you to press out
perfect flower shaped butter pats. The box is in lovely
condition and is a dark red with white polka dots. There
are instructions for use in the lid. The butter pat maker
measures 12 cms in length.
Vintage Clown Tin Noise Makers
Set of three vintage tin noise makers featuring different
clown faces. Shake the handle and the clangers go
backwards and forwards making a clanging noise.
Made by Kirchhof in Newark NJ USA
“Life of the Party” range these date from the 1950’s and
are in very good condition
Brentleigh Ware Preserve Pot
This is a lovely vintage jam or preserve jar. I am not sure of the actual age but it is typically 1930’s in style. It is decorated with lovely relief pink and yellow flowers. It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks and just a little crazing to the glaze. It has full factory marks on the base and is marked ‘Staffordshire England’. It measures 4.5’’ high.
Deco Chocolate Box
This is a very unusual hand painted Deco chocolate box. The colours on the box are still very vivid and the detail is beautiful. The design has an eastern influence and the lady is wearing typical 1920s/30s attire . There is an original label inside the box which says ‘Stewart & Co Old Bond Street London and Branches’ . The box is in good, sturdy condition and the decoration is showing some age related wear. The painted surface is slightly powdery to the touch and there is one brown spot to the green paint on the clothing. The box measures 12 x 9.5 inches.















Art Deco Crinoline Lady Jug
This is a vintage Deco jug made by Delcroft Ware in England. The factory mark is stamped on the base. The jug is decorated with a pretty crinoline lady in her garden. She is gathering flowers in her basket and there is a wooden bird house behind her. The jug is a shade of green at the bottom to represent grass and the top half is blue and white showing clouds and sky.
The jug measures 6.4 inches in height.
Vintage Style Pin & Needle Case
This pin and needle case has been entirely hand sewn by me and is like the kind that you found in granny’s needlework box all those years ago.
Made out of material that I brought back from France with a felt inner to stick the pins and needles through. On the front I have sewn the word PINS and then blanket sewn the edges.
Measures 5 ½” square.
Hand Sewn Cushion with Charm
This cushion is made from a very pretty floral and stripe
cotton material which was bought in France. The cushion
is totally hand sewn and is finished off with a little silver
sling back shoes charm hanging from the side. Cushion
measures approximately 11” x 12” and is very soft &
squidgy.
Hand Sewn Gingerbread Woman Cushion
Sweet little cushion with a Gingerbread woman sewn on
the front. The little lady has been padded out which gives
her a 3D effect. Cushion is totally hand sewn and is made
from primitive style check cotton bought in the USA.
Cushion measures 9” x 9 ½” and is lovely and soft and
squidgy.
Hand Embroidered Flowers Brooch
Sweet little brooch that has been hand embroidered with
pink and blue flowers Set in an ornate oval gilt frame with
Perspex cover.
Measures 2 1/4” x 1 ½”
This little brooch is in really nice condition with tight fitting
catch and probably dates to around the 1940’s
Green Bead Double String Necklace
Nice pretty set of double strung beads with green shaped beads, the large round ones are slightly marled in appearance.
I think these probably date from around the 1940’s or 1950’s
Measuring approximately 11” long, they are in really nice condition.
Deco, Blue Powder Jar.
This is a very pretty Deco, light blue early plastic Bakelite
type jar. It has Deco detailing to the legs and lid and is
hand painted with pink, red, white and lavender flowers.
It is in lovely condition with some wear to the painted
decoration . It is marked underneath’ Seaforth, Made In
England’.
It measures 5cms in height x 9.5 cms in diameter.
Vintage Green Powder Jar.
This is a lovely early green plastic Bakelite type powder
jar. It is patterned on the lid with a relief flower pattern
Inside is a further lid which holds a soft yellow powder
puff. The jar is in lovely condition with traces of face
powder remaining.
It measures approx 3.5cms in height x 10cms in diameter.
Grand Piano Manicure Set.
This delightful manicure set is made from a marbled green
bakelite or early plastic type material. The lid lifts up to
hold the manicure items. There are 4 items including a file
and cuticle tidies. There is also a silver coloured case that
looks like a needle case but came with the set. The tools
inside all have green bakelite type handles and are made
of silver coloured metal. Some of the metal has
discoloured but could be cleaned. The piano is marked
‘Made in England’ underneath and is in excellent
condition.
It measures 12 cms x 7cms and is 6cms in height.





Vintage Pink Avon Powder Pot.
This is a lovely vintage Avon face powder jar made from
an early pink plastic type material. It is decorated on the
lid with a relief flower pattern of roses. It still contains the
original pressed pale pink powder. It is marked
underneath ‘ Avon Cosmetics New York,London,Paris.
Contents 060z-17G. It has the original white sticker on
the bottom which says ‘Mona Lisa Blush’. It is in excellent
Condition.
Measures approx 2cms in height and 10 cms in diameter.






Roses Linen Apron
This linen half apron is in wonderful condition – It is still lovely and crisp and I do not think it has ever been used. By the looks of the design I would date it to around the 1960’s early 1970’s.
The body of the apron is a light lime green with two very large bold roses. It is edged in cream and has a little side pocket. Its only imperfection is a small mark on the waistband. condition without any signs of wear.
It measures 22” long – waist is 20 ¾” excluding ties and 66 ½” including ties.
